First Aid for Kids School Holiday Program

Child practices bandaging an adult

The St John First Aid for Kids School Holiday Program is back after popular demand! This new program is designed to offer engaging and age-appropriate first-aid training for children during the school holidays.

Based on the proven success of the First Aid in Schools program, which has been instrumental in educating young students across Tasmania in the fundamentals of first aid, the First Aid for Kids Holiday Program aims to further extend our commitment to creating a safer and more prepared community. The program is structured to provide hands-on, interactive learning experiences, ensuring that children of all ages can acquire essential life-saving skills in a fun and supportive environment.

This program offers a unique opportunity for children to learn valuable first aid techniques, including basic CPR, wound care, and how to respond to common emergencies. These skills not only empower the children but also contribute to the safety and resilience of our wider community.

St John Ambulance Tasmania's mission to educate and prepare the community for medical emergencies is at the heart of this initiative. We believe that by equipping our youngest members with first aid knowledge, we are taking significant steps towards a safer, more responsive community.

We are immensely grateful for the generous support of our Inaugural sponsor, Howrah Plumbing, whose commitment to community safety and education has been pivotal in making this program possible. Their support reflects a shared vision of a community where everyone is equipped with the knowledge and skills to help in a medical emergency.

The First Aid for Kids Holiday Program is more than just a first aid course; it is part of our broader commitment to fostering a culture of safety and preparedness in Tasmania.
