St John Ambulance Tasmania is a trusted charity that has been making Tasmania safer through first aid for over a century. As a self-funded organisation, we save lives by educating and training communities, providing first aid supplies, patient transport, and supporting people in need. Your Role

This is a part-time role, working two days a week (0.4 FTE), with a pro rata salary of $80k. As the Graduate Communications and Marketing Coordinator, you’ll work directly with our Marketing and Communications Manager, gaining hands-on experience across a uniquely dynamic marketing environment. Due to our self-funded structure, you’ll have the opportunity to balance traditional sales-driven marketing with brand-led communications focused on our purpose and mission. Working within a federated structure, you’ll collaborate with St John organisations across the country, playing a key role in rolling out a unified brand strategy. This role gives you the freedom to shape your path—whether you want to stretch across multiple areas like social media, writing, photography, advertising, and SEO, or specialise deeply in one area that sparks your passion.

 

Training, Development & Rotations

In this role, you’ll receive guidance and training from experienced professionals as you build your skills. You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Learn about content creation, digital marketing, and stakeholder engagement.

• Gain proficiency with tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for graphic design.

• Enhance your communication skills through regular interactions with various departments and external partners. We’re committed to your growth and will support you with continuous learning opportunities as you progress.
