Is your AED ready to use? Register for a free health check

During a sudden cardiac arrest, every second counts. Having an AED on site can save a life, but only if the device is ready to use when it is needed.

AEDs are often installed and then left unchecked for long periods of time. Pads and batteries can expire, and faults may go unnoticed. A simple health check can help ensure your AED is ready to use if an emergency happens.

As part of our commitment to community safety, St John Tasmania is offering free, obligation-free AED health checks for community organisations and workplaces across Tasmania.

What is included in the health check?

Our trained team will carry out a basic health check to help confirm your AED is in a ready to use condition. This includes:
•    A visual inspection of the device and case
•    Checking pads and battery expiry dates
•    Confirming the AED indicates it is ready for use (where applicable)
This health check is free and obligation free. If your AED needs replacement pads or batteries, we can provide guidance on next steps.
